The Diet

After doing massive amounts of research and also working with a nutritionist who specializes in fighting cancer with nutrition, I began following a dietary regimen to fight my cancer. These are the basic guidelines.

The Breakdown:
  • 70% - 80% organic fruits and vegetables
  • 10% - 15% protein
  • 10% - 15% fat

The Rules:
  • Eat way more vegetables than fruit. Veggies are the healers. Fruits are the cleansers.
  • Buy organic when possible, but don't fret over it. If it's not organic, use an organic vegetable wash to remove pesticides, or wash with white vinegar.
  • As much as possible, eat produce raw.
  • Eat a big salad a day.
  • No wheat or gluten products.
  • No refined sugar or artificial/chemical sugar substitutes.
  • Agave Nectar and Stevia are acceptable natural sweeteners.
  • Use ONLY organic animal products. This includes all meat, eggs, and dairy. NO pork.
  • Use only olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and sunflower oil.
  • No processed foods with preservatives and chemicals.
  • Eat all nuts (except peanuts) liberally.
  • Fat should come from healthy sources (avocados, nuts, olive oil, etc.)
  • Allowable drinks: green tea (drink liberally), unsweetened black tea (or naturally sweetened with stevia or agave), homemade lemonade (with agave or stevia), WATER!
